Professional couple and first-time parents are seeking a second nanny to provide evening, weekend, and travel support for their young child! Duties include actively engaging the child in age-appropriate activities and play, supporting his active daily routine, collaborating with the parents and full-time nanny on best care practices, and tending to tasks related to the child. The family employs a Morningside full-time weekday nanny (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and is seeking additional support primarily on Friday evenings, weekends, occasional weekday evenings after 5:00 PM, and during family travel. The family can guarantee 20-30 hours per week, with schedules typically provided at least two weeks in advance. This position is ideal for candidates seeking a predictable evening and weekend schedule rather than a traditional weekday nanny role. Candidates who are excellent communicators, value routine and structure, and enjoy working collaboratively with parents and other household staff would be a great fit. The family values an active, engaging approach to childcare as the child’s routine regularly includes regular and year-round outdoor play, neighborhood walks, and visits to nearby parks. Responsibilities include maintaining organization and cleanliness of the child’s play spaces and commonly used areas, monitoring and restocking child-related supplies, and communicating household needs related to the child. The ideal candidate will be warm, energetic, active, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of care. This family frequently travels, so candidates interested in traveling domestically and internationally for long weekends and/or accompanying the family on one to two extended trips per year will receive priority consideration. The family values professionalism, teamwork, and open communication and is seeking a nanny who is receptive to feedback and comfortable participating in respectful, collaborative communication to ensure the highest level of care for their child. This family has a pool, so confident swimmers are strongly preferred. The family also employs a live-in housekeeper, so no deep cleaning or household housekeeping duties are required.
