River Oaks family is seeking an additional staff member for their home to provide overnight supervision for their preteen daughter who has type 1 diabetes. The family currently has four staff members consisting of two housekeepers, a house manager and a junior house manager. This role will include monitoring the preteens’ diet and blood sugar levels overnight via a phone app that is connected to her monitor and insulin pump. Sleeping on duty is allowed with the phone alarm on. Most nights are uneventful, with some nights requiring assistance for a few minutes once or twice. Mom will be home, but experiences chronic fatigue, so additional support is needed. Dad is available by text for any need and lives close by. The overnight schedule follows the custody schedule and currently includes three nights one week and four nights the next week. Medical experience is not required. The nanny reports to the house manager directly and contact with the mother is limited. This job is available now.

Duties will include:
• General childcare and supervision
• Remind the child about tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Overnight monitoring and response to blood sugar
• Transporting the child as needed
